VI: The universe of the Valdeorras


After the abandonment of the region by the Romans and the arrival of the Swabians and Visigoths, in times of Leovigildo and Recaredo, and after the union political and religious of the peninsula, the region had to live a period of peace and splendor. In the land of "Gueurres" coin money was reached three times-VITERO (603-610), Sisebuto (612-621) and Suintila (621-631) – ceccas in which thwey were located in: Valencia GUEURRES-Sil - , PINCIO-clamp-and-Larouco LAURUCLO. These coins were inscribed images related to grapes, by their importance in the vineyards in Valdeorras.
